Tatiana Kopaleishvili (PhD in World History, Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, Georgia) is an affiliated researcher in the Department of Religious Studies and Missiology at the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit in Leuven, Belgium. She is coordinator of the Institute for the Study of Freedom of Religion or Belief (ISFORB), which focuses its research on the intersection of religion, society, and human rights. In this capacity, she contributes to teaching and research initiatives and organizes conferences and projects. Her research focuses on religion-state relations in Soviet and post-Soviet Georgia, focusing on the dynamics of religious minorities and FoRB issues. In parallel with her research, Kopaleishvili is actively involved in teaching BA and MA courses on freedom of religion and sociology of religion. She has also been involved in delivering FoRB reports or providing expert opinion for organizations like Open Doors International and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition to her academic
commitments, Kopaleishvili actively engages in professional networks to foster collaboration between academic and religious spheres, serving as a board member of Sola Forum in Georgia and the Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians.
